Well, I got my wedding dress Monday.....YAY! I have found that I am not the typical bride. I'm not quite sure this is a good thing or a bad thing. First of all, I am probably the least romantic girl you will ever meet. I 'm serious....if you don't believe me, ask Matt....lol . I'm sure he will tell you....lol (poor guy).
Anyways, during the "finding of the perfect dress" the lady was like "here is a magazine with all our dresses in the new winter 2011 catalog. Pick out some you like and I'll get them for you to try on" I was like perfect. So, I picked a couple out that I thought were me, something I would wear. It wasn't a Cinderalla dress, or anything puffy, sparkly or whatever most girls look for in a wedding dress...lol. Although I'm not going to lie but I did pick out one dress that I didn't really think was me, but I was going to try it on for "fun". So the lady comes back and was like "well is there any dresses you liked in the magazine"......There was a picture of a dress and it just showed the back of the dress and of course it was really pretty. I said What's the front of this dress look like. She looked at the magazine and said "o we don't have that dress"....I was like ...Uhm , Ok! Then I was like what about this dress? She was like " O yeah, we don't have that dress either......STOP, ok, right there.......WHY would you give your customers a magaizine to pick out wedding dresses when you don't even carry the dresses in the magazine....LOL. So I said if you don't have these dresses why did you give me this magazine to pick out these dresses. She proceeded to tell me that the magazine was new so they haven't got in some of the dresses in the magazine....which is totally fine and acceptable, but how about telling the person that is going to be spending hundreds of dollars in store that you don't carry all the dresses in the magazine yet, since it is new......HONESTLY!
Luckily, the one I really liked they had in the store......the only other complaint I have is why you do you carry large sizes of dresses in the dresses that normally smaller girls would wear. The dress I decided on was a size 12, put a size 12 dress on a size 2 frame.....really hard to tell what the dress is going to look like, don't ya think! Anyway's I got the dress, and I wish I could post some pictures, but they won't be released until Dec. 10th....lol. And the pictures will probably be from my photographer, who by the way is an AMAZING photographer and I am super excited to have her shoot my wedding. If anyone is interested you need to check out Kathy McCloy Photography, just go to google and type in the name and BAM, it will probably be the first link that pops up.
SO, now that I got that off my chest......I was thinking tonight during my 4 mile run in the 95degree weather that I am going to try to start writing more blog.....really my life has been somewhat boring lately (well not completely, but I don't want to put some things about my life on the internet for the whole WWW to read....lol), so I PROMISE I will start posting more blogs...... :)

WEDDINGS......
I'm sooo wedding'ed (a word I just made up) out! I have been in my 3 wedding in 2 month this June 11th. Weddings are always something fun to witness, I like to see every one's reactions to everything that goes on. I like to see the things this family does and this family doesn't do.
Some of my closest friends are getting married this year. I am happy to say I got to be a part of them all. Kristi and Justin, Danielle and JD, and Stephanie and Chris. This next weekend I will be in April and Cliff's. Then before I know it it will be JESS and MATT (my very own...lol).
When I am at these wedding I caught my self judging everyone around me, not in a bad way. Just in the way that I am being probably over observant. For an example: At one wedding I was shocked that while standing up in the wedding the preacher pulled his iPhone out of his pocket and started messing with it in the middle of the ceremony: now I'm sure he was reading a scripture or something out of it, but really!
While I attend these weddings I'm telling myself I don't want this at mine or I do want this at mine....I hate that I can't just enjoy the simple fact that I was witnessing a new chapter opening in someone life. I am too busy being critical and judgemental. Now, my wedding will be in 7 months and the last thing I want is people saying this and that about my wedding, SO I am going to stop being judgemental and start just enjoying life as it is......

Danielle Carr and Jonathan Durham are MARRIED!!
CONGRATULATION'S, JD and Danielle!!!! I never saw this day coming! Danielle Carr is a girl that had GUY issues. It stemmed from a bad relationship in high school (which most of them do). I mean I didn't think she would be single for the rest of her life, I just didn't see her being one of the first of all my close friends to get married. I am very happy for them both, and I wish the best to them and the years to come! The wedding was nice, decorations were lovely and everyone seemed to have a great time.
I met Jonathan my Sophomore year of college. He was a friend of a friend. I also worked as a lifeguard with this ex-girlfriend. I have always enjoyed hanging out with JD, but I never would have imagined that those days of randoms nights of drinking with the Valley Football players would have lead me to today.
I met Danielle my Junior year of college, we ran together on the Valley Cross-County team, if it wasn't for the sport I love I never would of found a friend as good as Danielle has been over the past several years. Danielle and I have many, many stories (which I will NOT be sharing) ranging from CC stories to drunken stories of me passing out from hitting my head on a chair in her dorm room after a long night at the bar ........and more...lol. She was there for me when my sister had her accident and when my grandma passed away. She is a TRUE friend, which are hard to come by these days.
When Jonathan was first introduced to Jonathan they really had to hang out with each other by default.....lol. I started talking to Matt and Matt and JD were friends, so who did Matt invite over when Danielle and I wanted to hangout?? Wouldn't you know it was JD....lol. I know for a FACT Jonathan was head over heels for this girl, and she wanted nothing to do with him.....lol (poor Jonathan). But she finally broke down and started falling in love with him unknowingly. Then before we all knew it they were kissing face, couldn't keep thier hands off eachother, making you want to vomit from the constant gropping they did.....It was so cute it was nasty...lol not to mention werid since no one had ever seen Danielle act so silly with a guy before. We all knew they were in LOVE!
I am so happy that her and JD and still in my life and will hopefully be in my life FOREVER. I never would have imagined that JD and Danielle would ever get married and they are......so I'm super excited to see how they grow as a family and as people into the next chapter in their book of life. I can't wait till I get the phone call of " Jess, you won't believe this but I'm pregnant" or the call of " Hey, let's all plan a couples trip"....lol. Congrats and many years to come.......lol

Paranormal ACTIVITY......for real!
OK, a couple weeks ago I was a part of a paranormal activity investigation with a team out of Kansas City, MO (it was actually a lady in the team, not the whole team). I learned what tools they use on investiagtions and how they are used. There is device called an EMF meter that I used during the investigation. It has 3 lights on it green, yellow, and red. It's always on green, when it hits yellow is when there is the most paranormal activity. When the red light comes on it just means there is electrical interference, something like walking by a outlet or something like that.
We went to the Saline County Nursing Home which was also used as a dormitory for the last several years for the Rodeo Team at Missouri Valley College. However, at the time of this investiagtion no one had been living in it for about 1 year.
This is a picture of the nursing home apparently it was a high school as well....lol (who knew)
Anyways, back to my story....
There are stories of how this place is haunted, plus, it was a nursing home which means people most likely passed while they were there, leaving their sad soles behind ......
I have heard stories from past students on the Rodeo team and other students that have experienced some "paranormal activity" while being in the building. Matt has told me some stories that he experienced in the building as well.
We started the investigation at about 7pm on a Monday night on March 7, 2011. When we first arrived we did a walk through which is pretty much self explaintory, we walked through the building with all the lights on starting on the main floor going to the basement then to the second floor. Then we turned off all the lights and starting our investigation. There were about 8 of us so when you hear some clips some of the voices you hear are really people in our group....lol. We walked through the first floor, basement, and then second floor. There is an elevator in the building that does not work, but have been told that it has worked before and apparently works every now and then.....(interesting).
During our investigation I had the EFM meter in my hand, there were only several places in the whole building that the YELLOW light when crazy, which means it was expericening the most paranormal activity. It was mostly in the basement. There was one or two spots in the main floor where we had some activity but not a whole lot, the second floor there wasn't much of anything.
I have some pictures and audio that I want to share with you so I can have some other opinions. In some of the pictures I think there are some ORBS. The definition of an orb in the paranormal world is the soul of a once living person or animal that appears in pictures as spherical shapped light. Most of the time, when orbs are captured in a picture some people automatically think the place is haunted, but there are some explainations you need to keep in mind when you see these orbs. It could be a dust particle or some kind of a reflection of another light. There are some orbs in the pictures I have that I think are skeptical, but then there are a couple that really freak me out because I don't think there is a logical explaintion for why they showed up in the picture.
You might need to save these to your computer and blow up the area so you can see the orb better. I this picture the orb is to the right of the florissant light. Looks kind of like a little bubble.
This one is a bit skeptical I think, the spot or orb is on the left wall a couple inches above the brown trim in the middle of the wall. According to the professionals in paranormal investigation say stairwells usually pick up a lot of paranormal activity.
This one is freaky, when you blow it up and look closer, this ball above the girl in camo's head is amost invisible you can see through it. This is a GREAT example of and orb (I think).Plus, this is the basement where we experience a large amount of paranormal acitivity which is another reason why I truely think this is the sole of a once living person.
This one freaks me out because it's right by my head, and I knew there was some kind of paranormal activity going on at the time because the meter was YELLOW.
I have some audio but I need to cut it down, so I will update this with the audio as soon and I get everything updated! Leave a comment or something about what you think about the orbs.....
Thanks! I hope you like this blog!
Happy Haunting!

Engagment
Well, It's OFFICAL! Matthew and I are ENGAGED! I NEVER thought I would be writing a blog about being engaged or getting married anything like that. It's amazing how things change and how people, circumstances, and situations happen.
Yesturday, March 19th, 2011 was our 3 year anniversary! Crazy, I know! When I was first intrduced to Matt was my freshman year of college. Funny story, but he was trying to get with my roommate....LOL. I thought he was a flirt and just like every other Valley baseball player....a "PLAYA".....lol. He say's he thought I was the hottest girl at Valley and always wanted to talk to me but was afraid to talk to me....HA HA HA!
And now, 8 years later here we are......ENGAGED! Matt is one of the best guys I have EVER had in my life! He is my best friend, a shoulder to cry on, and someone I can make fun of and joke around with (which is mostly what I do). I can honestly say.....I LOVE YOU MATTHEW ALLEN GREEN! Thank you for always being there for me through everything...... I'm happy to say that you will be the person that will be starting the next 100 chapters of my life (blog) with....lol...and I know you are SOOOO SUPER EXCITED for that....lol.
Here is a picture of my ring.......Matthew did a VERY good job!
The story......
Begins in the day of our 3 year Anniversary....
We were getting ready to go to the "Luck of the Irish" dinner in Marshall, MO. We were heading to it and Matt passed the high school were it is held. I said " Matt, goofball, you just passed it" he said "No I didn't " .....So we keep driving and driving......and I'm like "MATT WHERE ARE WE GOING"....he keeps on saying "luck of the Irish,....luck of the Irish"... SO we keep driving and driving.....
Finally, I realized we were going to The Pear Tree, since it was far away (aproximately 1.5 hours). SO I say " I know where we are going" he says "where" I said "we are going to the Pear Tree" he was like yeah your right that's where we are going......
so we get there and it's literally in the middle of nowhere in this tiny, tiny town....we walk in and it's PACKED! We get placed at out table and we are seriously just about sharing a table with some random couple. (kind of put a damper on the romaticness of the night...if that's even a word...lol). We eat dinner and chit chat. Then head back to Marshall.
Finally, when Matt and I got home all I wanted to do was lay in bed and finish our movie we were watching earlier in the day.....lol...all Matt wanted to do was talk in the kitchen....lol. So I went in the kitchen and he hugged me and put his arms around me....blah, blah, blah....he was smiling and acting all goofy then he kissed me and said "WILL YOU MARRY ME"? I said "shut up" and he said "NO, seriously will you marry me? and pulled out a ring....so I smiled and kissed him and said YES!!!!
THE END!!!
